Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 July 2026

clearly is a teleprompter and speaking-practice app. It is built to work on your device, without an account. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to your information.

The short version. Your voice, your recordings, your scripts, and your practice history stay on your phone. We don’t require an account and we don’t collect your name or email. The only things that leave your device are (1) a one-time download of the speech model, which sends no personal information, and (2) the data the advertising in the app needs, described below.

Who we are

clearly is made by jocoding. You can reach us about privacy at highball@jocoding.net.

What stays on your device

Because there is no account, this information is not associated with your identity and is not stored on our servers. Deleting the app removes it. You can also delete individual scripts and takes inside the app.

What leaves your device

Advertising (Google AdMob)

We show ads through Google AdMob, and we have configured them to be non-personalized — they are not based on a profile of your interests. Even non-personalized ads require Google to process limited information to serve, cap the frequency of, measure, and protect against fraud in advertising. This may include your device’s IP address, general (coarse) location derived from it, device and app information, and identifiers used for advertising and fraud prevention.

This data is collected and used by Google as an independent controller under its own policies. Please review how Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

In regions where consent is required (such as the EEA and UK), the app presents a consent choice before ads load, using Google’s consent framework. On iOS, ad measurement follows Apple’s App Tracking Transparency: we do not track you across other companies’ apps and websites, and no tracking prompt is shown.

Permissions the app asks for

Children

clearly is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data retention and your choices

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to object to certain processing. Because the app itself keeps your practice data only on your device and does not hold it on our servers, you can exercise most of these rights directly by managing or deleting the data on your device. For advertising data, those rights are directed to Google as the controller. You can always contact us at highball@jocoding.net.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and revise the date above. Significant changes will be reflected in the app or its store listing.
